Revalidation for Nurses and Midwives

Important notice: There are some exceptional circumstances that the NMC will consider for individuals if they feel that they have not been able to gather enough evidence to revalidate because of maternity leave, long term sickness etc. They look in particular at absence from October 2015 when the revalidation evidence requirements were confirmed until the individuals renewal date to see if they have had the opportunity to gather the additional evidence needed for revalidation in terms of reflective practice, and practice based feedback. Reminder: To all nurses preparing for revalidation, if you are due to register with the NMC, it must be done by the 1st of the month that registration is due to ensure it has gone through on time for the end of the month. The NMC has introduced a new payment by instalment option so all nurses and midwives can decide whether to pay their annual £120 registration fee by quarterly direct debit payments of £30, or in a single payment of £120. To opt for the annual instalment option, you will need to do this one month in advance of the fee being due. Full details are available on the NMC website.
