Overall Aim: 

 

This 2-day course aims to develop your ability as a healthcare professional to plan and deliver fully immersive simulation-based education for a variety of learners. Successful completion of the course enables you to become a member of the esteemed UHB simulation faculty. The training delivered is designed in line with standards defined by the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare

 

Learning Outcomes: 

 

Participants will develop an understanding of:

  • Human factors and their impact on patient safety;
  • How to design, script and run simulation scenarios;
  • Effective team work;
  • Advanced observational skills and de-briefing techniques;
  • Enhancing learning in a non-threatening environment.

 

Participants: 

 

The 2-day course is suitable for all staff involved in education and training of undergraduate students and qualified professionals. Applications are welcome from doctors, nurses, midwives and allied health care professionals including Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs).
